The Opening of Sabinoso

In January 2016, it was announced that the Sabinoso Wilderness would be accessible to the public, thanks to the hard work of Senators Tom Udall and Martin Heinrich, and a partnership with the Wyss Foundation and the Wilderness Land Trust.

Here, our field organizer, Max Trujillo, discusses the history of Sabinoso and why it's so important.

The wilderness area is expected to be accessible to all in late August 2016.
